Never before processed, from my archives of RAW files. This was a rare
event. It was taken in the evening on January 6, 2012 in New Mexico at the
Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Sanctuary, using my trusty Canon 40D
and 70-200 f4L lens and 1.4x extender

No PhotoShop tricks.....

1/1250s f/7.1 at 252.0mm iso400 hand held full exif

Thanks very much, Hal\| Such kind words! You make a great point - since this reserve is on the National Flyway, I think that is very possible. They are such a treasure and I feel lucky to have been able to photograph them.

WOW Terry, This is really something !!! A truly wonderful image. lnteresting that the birds are flying in pairs. l wonder if this is intentional, each flying with its mate. A magnfcent image !!
