St. Nicolas Orthodox church - previously uniate.
The Uniate Church of Saint Nicholas was built in late 18th century (1763-1792) next to the marketplace.
First, it was built as a temple of st. Trinity, adjacent to the monastery for Basilian monks who came to Drohiczyn.
After the November Uprising in 1830, monks were deported and their church was closed.
The building of the Uniate temple was then transformed into the Orthodox church in 1839.
