End of an era

This is the Smithsonian Castle, which has long served as headquarters for the famed Smithsonian Institution. I recently read that they are searching for new premises off the National Mall but still close to it and all their museums. Although I’m sure the building will still be used for something, it seems like the end of an era to me.
