Day Thirty One
It was a bit foggy today. Fog makes the overlooks rather boring. We still pulled into all of them on the off chance there was something to see. There wasn't.
The waterfall of the day was Falls Creek Cascades. It wasn't a difficult hike. It was threatening rain, but what the heck. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
The final stop was the Moses H. Cone Memorial Park. Old Moses decided to get into the textile business making denim when Levi Strauss decided to get in the the blue jeans business. Cone Mills became the sole supplier for Levi and they both made a fortune. We had an interesting tour of the mansion which was mostly a lecture about the Cone family. As is so often the case, there wasn't any original furnishings of the Cone family. So it goes.
Today's photo is one Ginny took of the usual view we got from the overlooks. Fog and trees.
