Color Bank

About ten years ago I found a tree that has beautiful leaves
that bud out a soft light green in the spring.
Then as summer approaches the green leaves darken,
then it finishes with rich autumn colors
that glow in the early morning light.
Took a cutting from it that day knowing
I might not have the chance to get back to that tree.
Rooted it and have saved it for the day
when a place would open up for it somewhere.
Recently a place did open up in our yard for some trees.
In a few months I get to take cuttings from what is
now a small tree in a large pot to root and plant out next spring
I get to dip into my color bank.
We plant and wait.
Stay tuned!
Photos in 2022!
I promise!

I like the shaded pastel tones. It looks like a Bradford Pear to me.

lovely colours, especially in the muted light....this does seem a plant well worth propagating..
