'Sold out'

I thought this was an interesting sign, referring to Sen. Susan Collins, a supposed swing vote for Kavanagh’s confirmation, who offered a full-throated defense of him on the Senate floor justifying her ultimate vote in favor. Needless to say, she disappointed a lot of women, and efforts are underway to unseat her in 2020.

*****

We went to a protest on Saturday at the US Capitol, just to see what was going on. A large group of people protesting the nomination and subsequent confirmation of Brett Kavanagh to the US Supreme Court had stormed the steps of the Capitol and stayed there until they were led away by the police one by one and arrested. We were in a large, very emotional crowd in front of them, taking pictures.

Regardless of whether one favors his confirmation or not, I believe this was a case of democracy in action.

'Resist' was on the back side of her sign, posted earlier:

I'm guessing that your 'report' is unbiased, where everywhere else has a point to make.
