We rolled into Alpharetta about 10:30. I was a little apprehensive because the traffic looked pretty bad when we left Tuscaloosa. We had some things to do when we got there. First off was lunch with our grandson Peyton at his school. It was fun. The discussion at lunch was baseball and dinosaurs. We were working on how to get a brontosaurus into the lunchroom when the kids had to go back to class.
We were able to get into our hotel room early. That gave us a chance to get situated and get some rest before going to the next event of the day. It was a grandparents tea with Kensie at her school. Cookies and lemonade were on the menu. It was fun. There were a lot of grandparents there. The little kids are fun to watch. So a good time was had by all. Today's photo is with Kensie at the tea.
After a little more rest at the hotel we went to Peyton's baseball practice. Now that was fun. I have to hand it to the coaches who have mastered the art of herding cats. The kids seemed to have a good time. When you are 5 or 6 playing baseball is still a mystery sometimes. Batting is hard. Throwing is hard. Base running is hard. Strategy is impossible. But who the heck cares, it is baseball and everybody is having a great time.
We ended up the day at Jimmy John's for a dinner of sandwiches and potato chips. Then Ginny and I went back to the hotel and crashed immediately.
