The main road through the town centre is being resurfaced. It’s closed overnight every day for the next couple of weeks. Looking at the machines working in the flesh, it’s almost like one of those scary movies – steampunk or some such. It’s not just the sight but when you add the noise, smell and heat, it’s quite an experience. About 30 seconds after I took this photo one of the workmen came up to us and asked us to move on. Yikes.
