It is my first time seeing a Little Blue Heron up north here in Nebraska. It did take a couple of strikes before he finally caught his meal but he is young and he will get better. As a juvenile he is mostly white but as one can see he is well to getting his blue and maroon feathers. Hope he will hang for the summer so I can see him turn color.
