It’s been a long, cold, dreary winter that’s clung on like a limpet.
Somehow, then to find ourselves basking in twenty-odd degrees seems a bit odd to say the least. The good news is that no voice therefore no work means I can do a few chores around the place while I’m thinking about knotty work problems. I’ve washed everything in the laundry basket and the bedding and it’s all been dried in the best possible way, on the line in the fresh air. No electricity needed for the drying today. Not just that but the scent of laundry dried on the line is so much nicer in every way than the smell of laundry artifically scented by a tumble drier sheet.
Spring has sprung. We are looking forward to a summer of cooking over the camp fire while the kitchen is knocked down and rebuilt – let’s hope it’s better than last summer or we’ll be cooking on the camping gas stove on the dining table in the lounge.
