Only then I realised why they make many roadsigns yellow in the snowy north, rather than the traditional white versions more common in most of Europe

perhaps just as well that snowmobiles are not allowed here...doubtless they are fun vehicles, yet also noisy, and potentially dangerous to people on foot..
