Rho Ophiuchus and The Blue Horsehead Nebula

Imaged from Beckwith Township, Ontario

The bright yellow star in the lower right side of the image is Antares; and the open cluster Messier 4 (M4) is to the right and below. The Blue Horsehead Nebula (upside down) hovers over the the Rho Ophiuchus complex. Streams of Dark Nebulae stream from Rho Ophiuchus into the Sagittarius Region of the Milky Way.

A Star Adventurer mini-EQ Mount was used to track the stars. Imaged using a Nikon D610 (unmodified) and a Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens @ f/2.8; ISO 400. 40 x 2 minute subs were taken for a total integration of 80 minutes.

Subs were stacked in PixInsight; and the composite image was processed in PixInsight and Photoshop CC.
