Rho Ophiuchus and the Milky Way

Beckwith Township, Ontario, Canada.

Another early morning composition from the Beckwith Township solar site.

I am blown away by the colour detail in the Rho complex and the 4 principal nebulae in the Sagittarius region of the Milky Way. Even the subtle blue reflection nebulosity of Messier 20 (M20) The Trifid Nebula, can be seen.

Shot with a Nikon D810 using a Sigma Art 35mm f/1.4 lens @ f2.2 and ISO 1600.

215 x 8 second exposures were stacked in PixInsight. Total integration is just over 28 minutes.

The image was processed in PixInsight and Photoshop CC.
