Those who have to wait for the tram in Arnhem will often find nice accommodation at the stop.
Stately buildings such as these stand at the boarding places on the town squares until after
the Second World War. During the war, the Arnhem tram depot and almost all trams were destroyed
. Arnhem changes to the trolley bus and the ornate guard houses disappear from the streets.
This house is a replica of the guardhouse from 1925 that stood on the former station square.
It is a gift from the Friends of the Dutch Open Air Museum. The clock is a reconstruction of
the timepieces that Arnhem travelers keep up to date until 1944.
