When constructing this farm, someone scratches the year of construction in the cupboard of the
front room. More than two centuries later that ancient graffiti is still perfectly legible.
But more than 200 years almost everything about this farm has changed, due to new demands on
comfort and the modernization of agriculture at the beginning of the 20th century. From 1866
the Koster family lives here. The interior dates from around 1929. A turbulent time, with a
massive strike of farm workers and workers and the great economic crisis. Which for agriculture
actually already starts in the mid-1920s. In the 1930s, water came to the attention of many
farmers. Only a public auction ("boelday") can then bring in some more money.
Placed here in 1974. Interior: 1929.
