Measuring the stagger of a NASCAR tire.

If you think that all tires of a certain size are the same size you are wrong.
Part of getting a NASCAR race car to handle is to determine the size of the tires.
This device measures the diameter of the tire. On an Oval track as a general rule
you want the largest tire on the right rear the next largest on the left rear,
then the right front should be smaller than the left rear and lastly the left
fron is the smallest. As on anAmerican oval track the cars are always turning
left and placing your tires on the car in this manner makes the car to turn
left almost all in its own. On a road course with left and right turns you
want the front tire the same size and the rear also to match left to right.
