Dear FTC. This has been a very painful problem with Advance Auto and Firestone. Firestone installed two front drive axles for my car. One of them as been proven to be faulty by their warranty department. The faulty axle caused my transmission to lose fluid and fail. Replacment of transmission costs 1500. They want to pay 800 ONLY and short me 750 dollars because they claim IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP CHECKING FOR LEAKS AT MY GEARBOX !! I am not supposed to watch over the underside of my car due to their faulty equipment.
