Meze* Plate for Helen

Not really a recipe, but I posted this for you to see why I fell in love with Turkish food at Cafe Agora in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this year. The eggplant segment on the lower left hand side reminded me very much of the imam bayildi. Do you eat it hot or cold? By the way, I loved the dish on which it was served and thought it looked like a fondue plate and sure enough it was. (The notch in the side gave me a clue - for the fondue fork.) *It's spelled Maza on their menu.

Oh my, that looks scrumptious! We have always eaten İmam Bayıldı hot, but mezze are generally served cold. The eggplant serving on the left could be something like patlıcan salatası (basically eggplant salad), although it isn't a salad.
