There was an eclipse today in case you didn't know it. It was a total eclipse (vs. annular) that raced across the US from Oregon to South Carolina. Zillions of people went to places where there was totality. We were not part of that. You have to admit that viewing a total eclipse is certainly a bucket list item. There are two eclipses coming to Texas, 2023 and 2024. The first is an annular eclipse and the second is a total. We are going to do these two for sure.

This was sort of like New Years eve. We watched some stuff on TV which was very cool. We also made our own pinhole viewer and used that to observe. The really cool part was looking on the ground and seeing the effect of hundreds of pin hole cameras made by the leaves in the trees. That was very cool. We had a lot of fun. We are easily amused.

That is pretty cool. We were supposed to be like 80% here, but it was nothing. Just another cloudy day in Michigan.
