We were looking forward to a great evening. Karen and Paul are going to stay with us overnight and our cry room friends were coming for dinner. One thing that Ginny makes that is a favorite with everyone is her berry pies. We still have Oregon berries in the freezer which are super for pie. So here is the pie just as it was going into the oven.

Our dinner with friends was excellent. Wine, beer, Scotch and Gin were the popular beverages. We had London broil which came out great. I made a crunchy broccoli salad which was a hit. Add some fruit and garlic bread and voila, a feast. Of course there were plenty of starters. Life is good.

As usual we prepared way too much food for the size of the party. Leftover mining in the refrigerator is going to be excellent for several days.
