Agalychnis callidryas
On Heliconia flower
Laguna Lagarto Lodge, Alajuela, Costa Rica

These frogs are not considered threatened however there has been considerable concern about the
overall condition of the rain forest habitat in which A. Callidryas resides. Climate change,
deforestation, wetland drainage, and pollution have caused dramatic declines in the amphibian
population in and among the rainforests of Central and South America.
