Welcome Swallow

This swallow is so named because
it is usually the bird that welcomes
seafarers to the coast.
They are extremely fast and acrobatic as
they dip and dive.

Thanks, Pete. It took me some to to get it mostly because every time I tried, my dogs would disrupt things and once, a lady, her two children and their really lively dog came to ask what I was photographing...grrrr....lol, such is life. I finally did get something to put up.

I love swallow colors and I know they are very speedy and hard to capture. Great job!

Than you so much, Hal. They live down at the Kiddies Corner end of the beach and are extremely fast. So I sat there day after day until I got this shot last week.

A very fine 'Swallow in flight' image, Elaine.
Very hard to achieve.
Sincere thanks for your perseverance.

Thanks, Terry. So glad to be using digital, it would have cost me a fortune in film as I have been taking about 100 shots every day for about two months trying to get a pic of one of these little critters, more to show you than for the photographic quality.

Nice capture, Elaine. These high-speed in-flight shots are the most difficult of all!
