Top image: The male Indigo Bunting quivers with exitement as the quivering female ..............
............ repeatedly submits herself for an intimate union.
And, so it goes. I watched them do this several times over a 15 minute period.
I had never photographed a female Indigo Bunting before as mostly we only see males. I went back a few days later and found only some males with no sign of females. They were probably house-building/sitting by that time and were not in the mood for more intemancy.
