4th - Simple house sparrow

Apple Valley, MN

A simple image, but one I took using my monopod and cable release. Camera is too heavy for using it one handed. I wish that the bird didn't hang out between the wires; but so be it.

Dave - it is a female, so looks more wren like.

Very sharp ... very nice. And the wires don't bother me ... I think they actually add some depth to the image.

Thanks for identifying. I would've guessed wren.

I really like this lens. Very versatile range, esp in daylight.

Apparently at 300 mm that lens is in it's sweet zone because this is very sharp and nice bokeh & contrast.

In contrast I spent over an hour the other day in my daughters cherry tree on a ladder picking cherries and not one photo opp either since my hands were wet with cherry juice.

Thanks. First shots in more than a week. I sat on our front porch for almost an hour waiting for it to land in my range.

Wires be damned, it is fully in focus with good detail...that is almost all that matters.
