Project Day 96 - Exile Day 46 - It is Easter Sunday. I think Easter is my favorite day in the church calendar. It helps that it is in the spring which can be viewed as a time of renewal and getting started. We went to the 7:00 am mass because it wouldn't be mobbed and our friends were attending that particular mass. Most people are aware that Easter and Christmas are the times when churches are mobbed. I miss the old days of Easter bonnets. It is hard to get cool with somebody going to communion in flip flops and shorts, especially on an important day like today. But that is how our society has evolved.
We have been in exile for almost seven weeks. It was our good fortune that the Easter Bunny was able to find our room and leave off a basket of chocolate goodies. Father Reuben said today the the purpose of the Easter Bunny was to bring around candy for all those who had given it up for Lent. Works for me.
Today's photo is from out behind the hotel. Ginny and I wish you all a Happy Easter.
