Mottled gray carpet moth (Cladara limitaria), #7637

Park Eco des Laurentides

A very early Geometrid moth. There was still a lot of snow on the ground, and the lakes were partly frozen, but this moth was out and about, here clinging to the side of a sign.

The markings do look a bit like tree bark, but stand out well against the dark.
