As previously mentioned, the main township is built on a hill of volcanic ash. Space is at premium, and therefore it is unsurprising that some extra space was prised out of the area by building over archways between buildings.

This is another example of the base image not having enough dynamic range so again I made a copy and merged to HDR. I don't think that the result was quite as good this time, though I'm sure I could improve it if I spent enough time on it.
