even in late December you would expect warm conditions in the Southwest...not the case though...days were chilly, and nights freezing cold

I drove to the snow this morning. It dropped down into our foothills last night. And it was snowing while I was up there. They predicted we could get some on the valley floor, but it didn't happen.
