Back again to a "fancy" snapshot. Didn't get a star-shot this year, but did get a chance to shoot a "chilly" picture using F22. No, that is not shadow-blocking you see. It is frost on the bushes.

An interesting note on the Series E 50mm. It was the same as Nikon's more expensive Nikon brand, but lacked coatings so it was not as contrasty nor flare resistant. When I took this shot, there was a clear ghost reflection of the sun in the foreground ... I worked hard to get it to an area that could be cloned out. Is their hidden magic in the D600? In NX2? When I started post-processing in NX2 there was no ghost to be found.
