I guess I’m back to Saudi pictures since I have pretty much run out of images from Washington, that is until I manage to get out of here with a camera. Because I have to work on Saturdays, I end up missing a lot of things going on around town, unfortunately.
This is Tim and some of his colleagues attending a graduation ceremony for officers at King Fahd Security College. Although I wasn't invited, he managed to get some nice pictures with his cell phone, some of which I’ll include. As you can see, there are no Saudi women working for this joint Saudi-US project, and American women aren’t required (in fact are told not to) to wear an abaya and headscarf while performing their professional duties.
I have a closer picture of this group, but I did like the Saudi photographer here. Maybe I’ll post the close-up, too. Tim is center right, and the US deputy chief of mission is next to him. His deputy is the tall black woman to the left of them.
