It's not a town.
It's hard to make ends meet in rural Italy (hey, it's hard to make ends meet in any part of Italy) so one innovation has been "agriturismo"; where farms open up spare rooms for guests to stay in the countryside. Of course this is not unique to Italia; it happens in Australia as well but I believe that in the Italian countryside agriturismo is the saviour of a number of small towns.
Grecinella is one such place. 5 apartments, a couple of pools and so on.
I loved Casole d'Elsa, but there's very little in the way of shopping or transport nearby. You really need to have a car.
This was in the early morning light that Toscana does so well.
