Hitched arches moth caterpillar (Melanchra adjuncta), #10292

Reveler Conservation Area

These caterpillars can also be green. Amazing that this soft bodied creature can crawl across those sharp thistle spines. It has several white spots on its head (which is on the left of the photo), these are likely the eggs of a parasitic Tachinid fly.
