We visited Helena, Montana. It is the location of the Montana State Capitol. The original building was completed in 1902, and large additions were added to each wing in 1912. Today it houses the executive and legislative branches. The supreme court has moved to other larger facilities. Today's photo is looking up in the rotunda. I thought it was nice. We had a guided tour which is always welcomed by us. You learn a lot from a tour that you wouldn't get wandering the building with a printed guide. Unfortunately, the building faces north. It doesn't get sun on the front. That was a disappointment from a photography standpoint. I think it faces north because of the view of the mountains.
