A Yazgulomi boy smiles as he looks up from in front of a small group of his peers. About 6,000 people live in Yazgulom, in five different villages. Their language, Yazgulomi, is spoken nowhere else. Yazgulom's residents are Pamiri. The vast majority of Pamiris are Ismaili, but by contrast Yazgulomis practice the Sunni branch of Islam. Photo taken on July 08, 2016 in Matravn, Yazgulom, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province, Tajikistan.
