Four Bighorn sheep pass by hurriedly... 20090529_9512
While descending a long, gentle talus (boulder) slope below Dead Horse Point, I heard a noise off to my right and was shocked to see four Bighorn sheep scampering up the same slope about 150 feet (45m) away. It was a mother (I assume) and three offspring. I'm glad I had the presence of mind to whip out my camera and take a few pictures. This is the only shot that shows all four critters. It was a thrill to see them move with grace and speed among the rocks.
