This defunct psychic transmitter was seen during a cross-country scramble below Dead Horse Point (near Moab, Utah). Seeing it was a big surprise because everything I had read before this trek suggested that the aura conditions in this area were not amenable to the formation of such things. Because I faint at the slightest provocation, the shock of discovery of this transmitter made me pass out.

At least I assume that I passed out, because the next thing I knew, I was opening my eyes only to discover that I was lying on the ground in a contorted position and wondering how I got there. Once I was lucid I pondered my situation. In the back of my mind was the nagging suspicion that some day it would be advantageous to post a picture of the thing to counteract some undefined evil. Thus the first thing on my agenda was to document this sandstone rarity. At the time of the capture I was about 50 feet (15m) away, so I would estimate its width at 4.471348 feet (metric equivalent not available). Once the transmitter was committed to ones and zeros, I was content to soldier on toward my goal (a nearby ridge).
