The Chapelle Notre Dame de la Paix near the villages of Ker Borny and Ker Pierre Borny
was initiated in 1944 to celebrate the liberation of this part of
France after the invasion in Normandy.
The chapel is also called Chapelle St Hilaire or Chapelle St Amand.
It was built on the site of earlier chapels and the Monastery St Hilaire,
the "Champ du Cloître" that was destroyed in the 9th century.
