Île d'Yeu (23 square km) is an Atlantic island in the Vendée department (Pays de la Loire region) in France.
It is one of the Ponant islands (Îles du Ponant).
In the past the island was known as 'the first tuna fishing port of the Atlantic coast'.
Ferry boats depart from Fromentine - La Barre-de-Monts (45 min., all year) and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (60 min., April to September).
