The Citroėn 2CV ('Deux Chevaux', 1948-1990) and the Renault 4 (R4, 4L, 'Quatrelle', 1961-1994)
are popular island cars on Īle de d'Yeu (and other Ponant islands).
For centuries this white quartz vein at the Pointe du But called 'Le Caillou Blanc' has served
as a navigation marker for sailors in the dangerous waters off the western tip of Īle d'Yeu
and the reefs of 'Les Chiens Perrins'.
