Sugar Land, Texas

Flooded Brazos River
Last weekend, the area just north of Sugar Land was inundated with 20 inches of rain.
That rainfall caused the Brazos River to flood higher than ever in recorded history.
Tom and I live about 5 miles from the Brazos. Sugar Land is on the east bank and Richmond/Rosenberg
area is on the other side.
The west side has flooded terribly, and been on the National news for the past several days.
Meanwhile, our 'high' side of the river is flooding, but only coming in for about 1/2 mile.
This is University Road that runs parallel to the river and the water is just to the road.

Not just national; I heard about that down here too, in conjunction with a little flooding that we've been having ourselves.

And it's still coming down. Terrible but glad you are on high ground.

This looks frightening! Germany is flood-affected too. Here we are spared from the flood, but it's raining for days...

A great shot of the river breaking its banks Lynn. Lets hop it stops here!

Excellent documenting of this disaster. I'm sorry to hear about it and hope that you aren't badly directly affected by it. V.
