Coyote

While on a trip to Glacier NP, we came across this coyote.
It was trotting along the road, stopping at pull out outs to check the trash cans.
After following him through 2 stops, we managed to get ahead of him.
I was on the ground with a lens that had a 10 foot min. focus.
At one point the coyote was inside of that 10 feet.
Then it moved off of the road to some brush along the side.
I got this final shot of him looking at me before he ran off in the woods.

10 feet is pretty close for a coyote, although usually shy they can be aggressive if they feel threatened. I watched the wolf video link from Traveller and find it quite fascinating. But I personally wouldn't call a person that holds a video camera sideways a "videographer". Paul

I think this image has some power to it...

Very appropriate. I hate to say it, but the most powerful nature shots have something dying in it.
Of course, that's just my opinion. (see the eagle and bass shot)

Very nice. The ones we have in the deserts of AZ are pretty scrawny and scraggly.
