I was watching the birds in the south section of the marsh when I heard a short one syllable sound from the trumpeter swan. They were in the east section of the marsh and once I turned my binoculars on them, they continued to feed. Aubrey joined me about 10 minutes later after which the adults guided the cygnets to a more sheltered area.
