Whites tree frogs range in color from light blue to emerald green. The males have a grayish wrinkled vocal sac underneath their throat region whereas the females have a white throat. They have very large toe pads with partial webbing between fingers and almost complete webbing between toes. Unlike most tree frogs, their eyes have horizontal pupils. The fatty ridges over the eyes secrete a waxy coating over their skin that helps retain moisture. They are native to northern and eastern Australia and the islands in Torres Straits, New Guinea.
