Tomato Dawn Gollanfield

Gollanfield, Highlands, Scotland

It wasn't quite what I had hoped for but the best laid plans some times go awry then serendipity takes over and disappointment metamorphoses into elation. That sort of happened here, my intention was to capture a full moon set behind the trees with the dawning light infusing the fields with a soft pink light. The moon alas fell into a bank of mist but the sun played it's part and duly rose as a tangerine ball of fire and cast its tomato red light onto the pale winter stubble turning it scarlet. Even the tree trunks are blood red.

This is surreal beauty, I've never seen anything quite like this image and I am seriously impressed, I have alway appreciated art of this kind but only ever really examined it occasionally, but this makes me want to do so on a regular basis from now on, your are a artist of true caliber, if you don't mine me saying since I really know, nothing of photography,

This is the beauty of nature photography. You never know what you might discover, and that's what makes it so exciting, and rewarding. V
