Ben Nevis Britain's highest mountain peak is usually shrouded in cloud and rarely seen in its entirety. It is best viewed from the satelite village of Corpach near Fort William where down on the shoreline can be found a large rusting relic of a boat fortuitously positioned such that its prow points to the sacred peak. Although I have taken this scene before I thought I would incorporate a wider view and utilise the nearby overflow water chute from the canal loch gates, which bounced and tumbled its way over stones, debris and wire meshing on the way to the shoreline. Though taken in the middle of the afternoon the glorious cloud patterned sky and the movement of the sunlit water slowed with a moderately heavy ND filter really created a pleasing Spring fresh scene that pleased me immensely.
