Damaged tree by corellas

Strathalbyn, South Australia

This little town has been suffering from the damage to the
local trees by huge flocks of corellas (parrots) who bite
the trees, thereby defoliating some trees that won't recover
like the tree featured in this photo. All sorts of action
has been taken, and the most recent being the use of a trained
hawk every now and then.

Horrible to see the loss of a forest giant like this. In the Smokies, we lost almost all of our spruce and hemlocks to adelgids. Vote.

Sad to see how nature destroys some times - like our pine beetles :(

Very well composed and I like the treatments. Too bad they are so destructive. "V"
