riddled

Valley of Fire SP, Nevada

a mere 150 million years ago, during the Jurassic Era, this region was a vast desert...over time the sand was compacted into what are known as petrified dunes...since then wind and water have left the red rocks riddled with various niches, arches, caves, and evocative shapes

Amazing what time can do. Most of the shapes are circular but I see a triangle shape at the bottom. So much to study in this image. V
