While trying to locate the Orchard Oriole (first found by Mike Rogers during a CBC) on Embarcadero Way in Palo Alto, I decided to move to the street side of the tree to search from there and almost immediately saw this Grey Fox further down the street on the Palo Alto Wastewater Treatment property. After I was able to take several pictures, it moved on into the field and out of sight. While moving back in the direction I had come, a second fox crossed the road directly ahead of me and allowed me several more opportunities to photograph it before it moved into the bushes near the road. Info about the Gray Fox
The first fox paused on this small mound for a minute or so before continuing into the field.
The second fox stood and stared at me and looked around before casually moving into the bushes behind it.
