Day 1 of a 1 week trip to Melbourne (documented more fully in the The Foodie And Theatre Tour, June 2015 gallery), and our first lunch of the trip was at Donnini's Italian Restaurant.
I had an upset stomach at the time (naturally, gods forbid that I should ever be fit and healthy when I go away for a break) and wasn't able to take full advantage of the menu. Plus, I need to lose weight so that I can put it back on in places like this.
This is a pretty fair representation of Melbourne in the winter; the denuded trees, the heavily coated people, the long shadows. I do love it so, much as a Sydneysider shouldn't admit that.
This shot is a bit of a cheat since it's similar to one in the Foodies gallery. However I had disturbingly few shots from day 1 of that trip (see also "upset stomach", and also the fact that we went to a museum exhibit for the afternoon and I lacked a wide angle lens, as discussed in a recent shot), so needs must.
