Tradition

Filling in my tax return has become an end of year tradition.
How come I always seem to owe them money?

And last year was imposing.

Agree with Johnny JAG; better that you have their money for a year than that they have yours. That said, they always owe me; but I really need to work at it to make it happen. (And only by virtue of investment deductions so that one day in the distant future I can afford a FF camera and the travel costs to use it somewhere interesting.)

A dreadful task, and I certainly know that feeling of always owing money.

I think we all feel your pain. I take comfort in father's words. "When you stop paying taxes, you know your dead." V

Our tax return filing falls in Spring. I have paid income taxes since 1962 :-O. Each year, at filing, I have had to pay more. It never ends. Merry Christmas. :)
